Architecture shaped around a way of living.

Set within the raw Mediterranean landscape of Herzegovina, Tennis House explores the relationship between architecture, sport, nature and the pleasure of slowing down.

At the heart of the concept is a clay tennis court, surrounded by mature greenery and framed by a series of carefully designed spaces for watching, resting and socialising. Rather than treating the court as an isolated sports facility, the project transforms it into the centre of an intimate outdoor experience.

A compact pavilion combines local stone, weathered corten steel, timber screens and large glazed surfaces. Its restrained architectural language allows the building to settle naturally into the landscape, while warm integrated lighting gives the entire setting a different character after sunset.

Terraced seating is incorporated into the terrain, while shaded lounge areas and informal gathering spaces extend the experience beyond the game itself. Gravel paths, Mediterranean planting and subtle landscape lighting soften the boundaries between architecture and nature.

The result is not simply a place to play tennis.

It is a place to arrive early, stay after the last set, share a drink, watch the light disappear behind the mountains — and enjoy the luxury of having nowhere else to be.
