We talked about the beginning of my professional journey, the symbolism behind the name of my practice—Studio ZIDOVI—and what makes the projects created by my studio unique.
We also discussed the impact architecture has on both individuals and communities, where I find inspiration, and how I recharge after work. These were just some of the topics I explored in conversation with the host, Elvira Drežnjak.
My favourite part of today’s conversation was the discussion about my passion for entrepreneurship. I believe that entrepreneurs do not necessarily have to be architects, but good architects must also be good entrepreneurs. Achieving this requires a healthy balance of perseverance, intuition, social intelligence, and emotional intelligence. A small but meaningful contribution to all of this may also come from one’s family heritage.
The message I would like to leave from today’s conversation is captured in the words of Petar II Petrović-Njegoš:
“Everyone is born to die once. Honour and disgrace live forever.”
I would like to be remembered as an architect who carried out her work with honour, integrity, and dignity.
